About Go Eat Lisboa

Go Eat Lisboa is a new web 2.0 concept for and about restaurants, food and culinary live in and around Lisbon, Portugal.

Goal of the website is the promotion of Lisbon restaurants, patisseries and the local ‘casa de pasto’ places where you can often eat a good and cheap meal.
To achieve an honest, objective opinion of the restaurants in the database we invite site visitors to participate in the site, react, write reviews and discuss places where they have eaten.

We also keep a blacklist of restaurants that receive a certain amount of complaints on this site, especially when it concerns rip-offs, unclear price lists or discrimination of any sort.
Viewers are invited to posts their complains to Go Eat. To blacklist a restaurant you will need to provide proof of your complaint for instance witness contact information, invoices with quotes that don’t match a price list ect.

The site provides services that restaurants can offer and members can use such as

  • Information about Lisbon restaurants, food styles, ambiance, amenities, prices, address and driving/public transport directions.
  • A taxi reservation to any restaurant on the Go Eat map with approximate price quote and trustworthy taxi drivers
  • Reservation of tables in Go Plus restaurants
  • On-line menu’s and day dishes (Go Plus)
  • Mail lists and news from Go Eat and/or it’s Go Plus members
  • Vouchers, discounts, offers and deals from Go Plus restaurants
  • A Portuguese recipe database filled by Portuguese chefs and home cooks
  • Featured chefs sites, get to know the food of Portugal straight from the professionals!
